Storm sewers collect and channel storm water run-off from city streets to our retention areas, ditches, creeks and ultimately to Little Bay De Noc. DPW crews clean and maintain catch basins, storm sewers, leaching catch basins and retention areas. Since storm water is not treated, anything such as oil, pet waste, grass clippings, and leaves, etc. placed into these structures flows into our watershed and ultimately Little Bay De Noc. If you see this happening, please call Public Safety at (906) 428-3131. In addition, over-fertilizing lawns can cause excessive non-source point pollution into our watershed.
